One year ago today I walked into the hospital, calmly, not in pain, to leave 4 days later with my precious baby boy!  Planned c-section deliveries really are the way to go! 😉

So many changes have occurred in the past year with Logan! From smiling, rolling over, babbling, crawling, etc.  It’s hard to picture just how small he was when I see him as big as he is today.  Did this boy really start his life wearing preemie clothes? Now look at the happy boy!

Here are his 12-month stats!

Weight: 23-pounds, 10-ounces (63%)
Height: 29.5-inches (41%)
Head: 18.70 (80%)

Here we have a little chunk and yet he’s only in the 63rd percentile – I thought for sure he would be higher – like 80th!  Are 1-year olds really bigger than 23-pounds?  Then again, I did expect Logan to be closer to 25-pounds by his first birthday.  Guess that army crawling is slimming down his spare tire. 😉

Logan did check out to be in perfect health-despite an annoying cough due increased mucus due to teething.  Speaking of teething – did I mention he cut his 3rd tooth on the 21st?  Number 4 won’t be far behind.  He did not, of course, like the five immunizations he received at the end of his appointment.  Poor kid.  They didn’t like him much either as they made him tired, fussy and gave him a slight fever.  Guess we’re mean parents for making him get shots on his birthday.  For the record, I didn’t know he was going to get so many!

Tomorrow we are having several friends over to celebrate this little boy’s birthday with a grand party!  I will be sure to post pictures from that shindig as well.  Hopefully Logan feels better and smashes his hands into cake!
