So far I have been at my job for a little over two months but it seems like I’ve always been there.  I love my job and the training that comes with it!

Other than going through orientation I have also completed the following training/certifications:

• First Aid
• CPR (with use of defibrillator)
• MANE (Mistreatment, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation)
• Incident reporting
• Safety Care behavioral response (methods for pro-actively and re-actively dealing with behaviors)
• QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel) – not everyone goes through this training 🙂

It took me 2 months to get the Safety Care training under my belt.  I couldn’t do it when I first started because I was on crutches and it’s physically demanding.  When it was offered in June I had jury duty so I was finally able to complete it this month.

I also have applied to a local horse ranch for volunteer work.  Keep your fingers crossed on that one!
