An End to the Election Mumbo-Jumbo

Today I voted.  I’m done.  My ballot is in the mail.  I spent the last couple of nights reading through the Colorado Booklet on all the different Amendments, whether or not judges should be allowed to remain seated and the few County propositions.

This year Colorado’s ballot was 4 11×14 pages!  I was greatly amused by the fact there are a couple of gentlemen running for president on the Boston Tea Party ticket.  Seriously folks, I kid you not!

Needless to say, I love being an absentee voter.  No lines to stand through, no booths to hide in…nope, I was able to vote from the comfort of my own couch.  However, regardless of your political views, don’t forget to execute your right to vote.  Whether it be through the mail, early by standing in line at a polling post (Colorado has this option) or on election day itself.

  1. Hi, Casey!! Mom, Ed, and I are in Gulf Shores, Alabama on vacation. I think it has been about 11 years since Mom and I vacationed together. Needless to say, we are having fun.

I was surfing a bit this morning and showed her Gretna’s myspace page. I mentioned to her that I haven’t been able to add you because of your security settings. She tried to get me through them with alternate names and email addresses, but we were unsuccessful. Feel free to add me if you like so we can keep in touch.

Ed and I were talking about places to live when he and mom retire. Colorado keeps popping up. I would absolutely love to live in the Durango/Silverton area. It seems like that is where I always end up when I get anywhere near Colorado. Well…we are off to do some exploring.

    Have a fabulouse week!!
